
Simon Newman - CEO

Simon J. Newman is the Chief Executive Officer of Dynacast International, a position he has held since 2002. He leads the world’s largest manufacturer of miniature die-cast components, in zinc, aluminum and magnesium. There are 18 factories worldwide, producing products used in the Electronics, Automotive, Healthcare, Hardware and Computer markets.
Mr. Newman joined Dynacast in 1979 and rose through the ranks, spending time in all areas of the business, including, Finance, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Manufacturing and Sales. After successfully managing and building a new factory in California he was promoted to the position of VP Operations for the SPM group, a plastics company acquired by Dynacast. He spent two years in this role before becoming the President of Dynacast North America, a position he held before becoming the CEO in 2002.
Mr. Newman studied Mechanical Engineering in England and after moving to the USA in 1991, he continued his studies and graduated with a BS degree in Operations Management.
Adrian Murphy – CFO

Adrian Murphy is the Dynacast Chief Financial Officer, a position he has held since 2005. Mr. Murphy has an undergraduate degree in economics and business and is a Chartered Accountant, qualifying with Price Waterhouse in Manchester, England. Since leaving public accounting, his career has focused on engineering and component manufacturing industries.
Mr. Murphy first joined Dynacast in 1990 to undertake a reorganization project in New York, and was subsequently appointed as Dynacast Group Financial Controller in the UK head office. Following the acquisition of SPM by Dynacast in 1995, Mr. Murphy relocated to Anaheim, California as VP Finance for the new division.
Mr. Murphy left Dynacast in 1997 to join Kane Magnetics International where he served as CFO until 2002. Kane was a leveraged buy-out from the Stackpole Corporation, based in Pennsylvania, manufacturing engineered magnetic systems. In 2002 he joined Linamar Corporation, a Canadian automotive component and systems manufacturer, and was based in Ohio where he was Director of Finance for the Engine Division. Mr. Murphy rejoined Dynacast as CFO in 2005 and is based in the corporate office in Charlotte, North Carolina.
David J Angell – Director Asia Pacific Region

David J Angell is the Director of the Asia Pacific region. Since moving to Singapore in 2002 the region has seen significant organic growth culminating in the opening of a new facility in Dongguan China in 2009.
Mr. Angell joined Dynacast in 1993 as a management trainee, after graduating with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Birmingham. After spending two years based in the UK, he moved to the USA gaining experience in all aspects of the business and was made General Manager of Dynacast Lake Forest in 1999. He moved to Spartanburg, SC in 2000 and was also responsible for facilities in Texas and Mexico before moving to Singapore.
Helmut Wolf – Director KPI & Best Practice

Helmut Wolf is Global Director for KPI & Best Practice of Dynacast International, a position he has held since 2008. He moved from Germany to the USA and joined Dynacast in 1991 as a Design Engineer in the Yorktown Heights, NY operations.
In 1995 Helmut and his family relocated to Wisconsin, to head the Dynacast Engineering/Tooling Division as the General Manager for 6 years. He successfully grew the operations to nearly triple its original output.
Following this Helmut moved back to New York, where he held the position of Sales Manager / North East for two years before being promoted to head tool sourcing efforts in Asia and Eastern Europe as the Global Tooling Director for over 2 years. After that Helmut headed the Industrial Products Division as the General Manager for nearly 3 years and effectively managed the integration of the Techmire acquisition.
A US/German citizen residing near Saratoga Springs, New York, Helmut holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the State Technical College in Trier, Germany.
Tom Kerscher – Director of International Business Development

Thomas C. Kerscher is the Director of International Business Development for Dynacast. He manages a team of account executives who are responsible for aligning Dynacast’s capabilities with the needs of multinational customers. The ultimate goal of this group is to fuel the growth of Dynacast’s business units worldwide.
Mr. Kerscher joined Dynacast in 1997 after spending several years in the thermoplastic injection molding industry. After managing the sales team for Dynacast’s California factory, he moved on to the role of Strategic Account Manager based in North America. More recently, he was responsible for managing several Fortune 500 accounts for Dynacast before creating the International Business Development group.
Mr. Kerscher graduated from Marquette University in 1990, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing.
